Richard Gunpat

Richard is a seasoned executive, consultant, thought leader and volunteer with over
20 years of experience in facility management, engineering, project management,
aviation and sustainability. He currently serves as ISC Global Chair; Vice President of
the Caribbean Chapter of IFMA and has contributed to several global IFMA initiatives,
including the CFM exam, SFP program, and the CFM Competency Model. His current
volunteer roles outside of IFMA includes LEED Version 5 in Building Desing and
Construction development; member of ASHRAE’s Conference and Expositions
Committee and the Certified Decarbonization Professional Exam sub-committee
member.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the
West Indies and a wide range of respected industry credentials, including IFMA’s FMP,
CFM, and SFP; PMI’s PMP and ACP; GBCI’s LEED AP BD+C; HPBOP, EDGE Expert and
ASHRAE’s BCxP.

Richard’s stellar and unparallel volunteer work giving back to the IFMA Foundation
Eric Teicholz SFP Scholarship Program has positioned him as a world class leader and
he inspires many young FM professionals globally seeking sustainability in FM as a
career of choice.
